In my opinion the problem with the seat is that it slopes forward and provides little support up front. I contemplated making my own shell etc but eventually I ended up with raising the front of the seat by some 2 inches. I nade a new bracket to receive the plastic tongue and I put some thick felt spacers under the rubber blocks resting on the frame. Now I find it more supportive and comfortable, for this bike it is enough, I think.
